OSTEOPATHY 

In Australia, osteopaths are government registered allied health practitioners who complete university training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general healthcare diagnosis, and osteopathic techniques.

Osteopaths focus on your neuro-musculoskeletal system - the bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support your body and control its movements. Osteopaths provide musculoskeletal and nervous system assessments, manual therapy; clinical exercise programs; and movement, postural, positioning advice and ergonomic assessments. They may also offer therapeutic needling techniques like dry needling, trigger point therapy or acupuncture. Your osteopath may also offer ongoing support and educational advice about your lifestyle, stress management, diet or other factors that may influence your pain, injury or movement.

Jessica completed her studies at Southern Cross University graduating with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine. Jess has an extensive background in exercise and fitness having worked as a professional dancer for over fourteen years and more recently as a Pilates instructor. 

Jess uses a wide variety of treatment techniques tailored to suit each individual patient and their presenting complaint, and is also very passionate about the role of Osteopathy for paediatric patients and in promoting women’s health including pre and post-natal care. 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

 

• A comprehensive previous medical history 

• A comprehensive physical assessment 

• Osteopathic treatment - (Treatment is tailored to each specific client but styles of techniques used include; Soft tissue/massage, stretching, HVLA/joint manipulation, Cranio-sacral techniques, Muscle energy techniques.

• Please wear comfortable stretchy clothes where I will be able to assess your body/posture etc.

• RETURN CONSULT - $110 (45 mins)

• HOME VISIT - $150 (By special arrangement only. Additional travel fee may apply for certain areas)
